Taking Flight: Reflecting on a Year of Achievements, Growth, and Endless Possibilities

What an incredible journey this past year has been for me! It's a year marked by achievements, growth, and a deep appreciation for the people and experiences that have shaped it.

Completing five upgrades to my CASA pilot license has been a challengeing experience, but one that I have enjoyed throughout the journey.

Being the sole woman in the jet class and piloting the L29 jet in the final installment of the Reno Air races was nothing short of a dream realized, each moment etching itself into my memory.

This unique experience holds a profound significance for me, as it goes beyond personal achievement. It symbolizes a milestone in my ongoing mission to raise awareness for women in the aviation industry. The rarefied air of the cockpit has become my platform to inspire and encourage women to explore and embrace aviation as a viable career path. This journey has ignited a passion within me to challenge stereotypes and break barriers, fostering a vision where the sky is limitless for aspiring female aviators.

The impact of this experience fuels my commitment to continue advocating for gender inclusivity in the skies, weaving my narrative into the broader story of women breaking through in traditionally male-dominated fields.

Learning new skills has been a continuous pursuit, both professionally and personally. Creating mindsets and setting goals has been my way of fostering self-improvement, and I'm proud of the strides I've made.

The connections I've made throughout this year, both with new friends and rekindling old ones, have added immeasurable richness to my life. And most importantly the time spent with my family and loved ones, who mean the world to me, has been treasured beyond measure.

Despite the exhaustion that sometimes comes with the journey, I feel empowered by all that I've achieved. I eagerly look forward to the opportunities and challenges that 2024 holds.

Approaching this year with enthusiasm, curiosity, and positivity, I've resolved to stand tall in my principles and continue evolving into the person I aspire to be.
